Job Title: Imaging Assistant I

Status: PRN

Schedule Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Department: Orthopedics

Location: 14547 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL

 

Position Summary: Observes and assists in various capacities to Orlando Health Imaging areas.

Essential Functions
• Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and
handoff compliance.
• Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety.
• Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies.
• Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility.
• Assists with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly.
• Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up.
• Returns equipment to designated storage area and maintains transport equipment. Cleans, deodorizes, and
disinfects equipment as needed.
• Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility.
• Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
• Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed.
• Adheres to Orlando Health’s mission statement and strategic imperatives.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA
and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education
requirements.


Other Related Functions
• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
• Maintains knowledge and skill level necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients age and status.

• Responsible for professional growth.


Education/Training
• High School graduate or equivalent is required.


Licensure/Certification
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire
