Job Summary: Provides quality patient care when performing basic diagnostic imaging to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles.

Position Summary
Provides quality patient care when performing basic diagnostic imaging to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles.

Essential Functions
 Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
 Performs basic radiological examinations, including all quality controls/clerical duties.
 Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
 Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
 Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality images for interpretation.
 Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is
demonstrated.
 Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self and others.
 Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Practice Manager or leader on duty.
 Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
 Conduct basic machine maintenance as necessary
 Ensures safety of all customers.
 Maintains reasonable regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
 Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

 Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
 Maintains well stocked and organized work areas.
 Provides patient transport.

Education/Training
High School Diploma or equivalent and completed an accredited Basic X-ray Machine Operator educational program.
Licensure/Certification
 Current Florida State License – Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMO)
 Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
