Performs routine and complex electroencephalograms on adult patients.
• Performs evoked potentials (BAER, VEP, SEP) on both in and out patients.
• Performs specialized recordings and monitoring of physiological phenomena.
• Competent in gathering and analyzing patient information.
• Performs patient care in advanced role under department supervisor.
• Maintains accurate and precise documentation.
• Communicates openly and effectively with all team members.
• Effectively educates the patient and family.
• Ability to prepare and calibrate equipment for testing and able to troubleshoot.
• Documents and reports routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure and able to
score and understand polysomnographic results.
• Verifies integrity of collected data and complete the collection process (e.g. repeats physiological and instrumental calibrations and instruct patient/parent on completing questionnaires, etc.)
• Maintains compliance within field and remains current with new techniques.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Education/Training
Associate degree in END or completion of accredited program for END technologist required within 90 days of hire.
Licensure/Certification
Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider Certification.
Experience
One (1) year of experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
