Orlando Health is preparing to open Wiregrass Ranch Hospital in 2026 and we are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Director to join the team in advance of the opening. This role begins in 2025 and will support planning, hospital readiness, and service delivery for the rehabilitation program. You’ll work alongside hospital leadership to establish and oversee rehab operations, ensuring high-quality care and a seamless patient experience.
Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Director is responsible for the effective delivery, oversight, and growth of rehabilitation services. This role combines strategic leadership, operational management, and clinical expertise to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-effective services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Essential Functions
Oversee rehabilitation operations, ensuring appropriate resources, staffing, and departmental alignment.
Monitor evaluations and treatments to ensure delivery of safe, effective, and cost-efficient services.
Collaborate with Administration and Managers to develop and enforce departmental policies, competencies, and performance standards.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
Develop and execute business plans that align with organizational goals.
Manage financial and operational strategies, including budgets, capital requests, and cost-effective care models.
Direct personnel functions including hiring, assignments, coaching, and performance management.
Provide leadership and professional development opportunities for rehabilitation staff.
Maintain collaborative relationships with hospital leadership and participate in corporate/divisional meetings.
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a rehabilitation field.
Licensure/Certification
Current Florida license as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Audiologist, or Speech Language Pathologist.
If licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist, must also hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role within a rehabilitation setting.
