Summary: The Product Analyst-Licensed Pharmacist’s work focuses on driving the design of information system products that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture including: collecting and analyzing information from system users, business analyst, business or clinical architects, to formulate the scope and objectives of the system, preparing flow charts, models, and procedures and conducting feasibility studies to design possible system solutions, leading the
effort to estimate the costs of system solutions and prepare project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources, and preparing and maintaining technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.

Essential Functions:
• Demonstrates an understanding of the corporate Pharmacy department workflows.
• Collaborates with physicians and physician-informaticists on medication order panels, order sets, and protocols.
• Demonstrates familiarity with the medication dispensing system according to scientific principles and Orlando Health policy and procedures.
• Demonstrates competency in all aspects of health-system pharmacy practice including pharmacotherapy, patient care, distributive services, drug information and practice management.
• Lead the effort to understand product capabilities (future and current state); determine product or system design and change requirements to help drive the business or clinical unit’s targeted outcomes.
• Assist and lead with implementation of a product solution or solutions within a group of specific clinical or business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements.
• Manage the architecture for a scope of products, working closely with business and clinical architects that manage and design architecture for a single project or initiative.
• Provide consulting support to business or clinical architects within projects to ensure the project is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
• Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements.
• Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
• Understand, advocate, and augment the principles of information technology strategies.
• Analyze the business-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation, and innovation).
• Understand and educate others on the product industry, competitors, and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the solution.
• Understand the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
• Assist with developing and understanding of product roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from current to future state (as defined by the solutions architecture).
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations.
• Consult with application and infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate the solutions architecture.
• Identify the business or clinical unit impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures, or culture) and financial impact of the solutions architecture.
• Document all solution design and analysis work.
• Work closely with the program/project managers to ensure the execution of work corresponds with what is being promised.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

• Recognized as an expert within the organization and has the required in-depth knowledge and / or breadth of expertise in products and a broad knowledge of products within the organization.

• Contribute to the direction and resource allocation for programs, projects, or services while working within general functional policies and industry guidelines.
• Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support on assigned products or product suite.
• Participates in On-Call support rotation.
• Performs other duties as directed.
Education/Training:
• Pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Science or PharmD) required.
• Experience in IT solution development disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application management, middleware, database management, product management, or operations preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
• Must be licensed by the Florida Board of Pharmacy, renewed every two years.
Experience:
• Two (2) years of experience working as a hospital Pharmacist
• Role may also require specific experience with solutions and products (Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Revenue Cycle, and other healthcare related disciplines)
