Location: 3000 Wiregrass Ranch Blvd, Wesley Chapel, FL (Opening 2026)
Reports To/Partnering with: AVP of HR, West Region

The Director of Human Resources (HRD) will serve as a strategic and operational partner in building the HR function from the ground up at the new Wiregrass facility, scheduled to open in 2026. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a business-oriented HR professional who can influence C-suite executives, lead through change, and support rapid organizational growth.

 

*This role requires a proactive, adaptable leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

*The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing ambiguity, and building systems from scratch.

*Must be able to travel between the office and facility (~7 miles) as needed during the construction and operational phases.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead the establishment of HR operations, policies, and procedures for a new facility expected to grow from 0 to 500 employees in its first year.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, providing guidance on organizational design, talent strategy, and workforce planning.
  • Support integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions, particularly the incorporation of Florida Medical Clinic into Orlando Health.
  • Facilitate leadership development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Development teams to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Represent HR in executive meetings and influence decision-making through data and strategic insight.
  • Prepare for future team growth; while there are no direct reports initially, this will evolve as the facility scales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in an HR leadership or HR Business Partner role with demonstrated success in strategic execution.
  • Experience in healthcare HR and mergers & acquisitions strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
  • Strong generalist HR knowledge and high business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills.
