Responsibilities

Essential Functions.
• Completes the start of day processes including powering up all equipment
• Properly room patients; complete all set up preparations
• Performs diagnostic studies and treatments as ordered by the provider
• Processes and assists provider with requests
• Handles patient and clinical messages:
• Distributes, reviews, and teaches patient education
• Prepares charts
• Confirms authorization has been obtained if required
• Complete all end of day processes.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, 
state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned. 

 

Other Related Functions
• Maintains an organized and clean work area
• Participates in maintenance of clinical supplies
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

Education/Training
• High School Graduate of equivalent required.


Licensure/Certification
• COT Certification preferred


Experience
• Strong customer service orientation
• Strong team player
• Basic computer proficiency

 

Proficient at complete ophthalmic work ups including refraction, applanation tonometry, motility. Ascans a plus
